As the sun slowly sinks toward the horizon, I always find myself slowing down with it. The jungle around me begins to transform, with deep greens turning into soft shades of gold, peach, and orange. This is my favorite time to be outside with my camera—not because the light is technically perfect, but because golden hour makes me feel present. It reminds me to stop thinking about everything else and simply pay attention to what is happening in front of me.

There is something about this warm, fleeting light that feels deeply personal. I know it will only last for a few minutes, and maybe that is why I appreciate it so much. I watch the sunlight filter through the trees, touch the leaves, and slowly disappear, knowing I can’t hold onto the moment. I can only experience it, photograph it, and carry the feeling with me afterward. These are the moments that remind me why I love photography—not just to capture what something looks like, but to remember how it made me feel. For me, golden hour has always been a quiet reminder to slow down, breathe, and appreciate the beauty that is here right now.
