After hiking through the rugged, winding red-dirt hills, I paused to catch my breath and take in my surroundings. Lush monstera vines and ti leaves grew along the trail, with the afternoon sun shining through the greenery.
As I looked through the foliage, the Nā Pali Coast slowly came into view. The ocean below was clear enough to see fish moving through the water, its shades of blue standing out against the earthy reds and greens of the mountains. The cliffs caught the sunlight, their surfaces glowing with the mist and salt carried in from the sea.
Standing there, I felt grateful for the chance to experience nature in such a quiet and beautiful moment. It was a simple reminder to slow down, breathe, and appreciate the place I’m fortunate to call home.
