On my last night at Kalalau, I stood looking out over the vast ocean, surrounded by what I can only describe as a heavenly white mist.
The waves were powerful, crashing against the rugged coastline as sea spray drifted through the air. Mist seemed to rise from the ocean and climb the mountain cliffs before settling softly along the shore, washing the landscape in delicate shades of white and pastel.
Everything felt quiet and otherworldly, as if the ocean, mountains, and sky had come together in one fleeting moment.
Standing there, I felt incredibly small, yet completely at peace. There was something almost sacred about being surrounded by such raw beauty—a feeling of awe and gratitude that I carried with me as I said goodbye to Kalalau.
